VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Telephone Service - get rid of your landline!

Voice over Internet Protocol, also called VoIP (pronounced voyp), IP Telephony, Internet telephony, Broadband telephony, Broadband Phone and Voice over Broadband is the routing of voice conversations over the Internet or through any other IP-based network.

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol uses the Internet Protocol (IP) to transmit voice as packets over an IP network. Using VoIP protocols, voice communications can be achieved on any IP network, be it Internet, Intranets or Local Area Networks (LAN). In a VoIP network, the voice signal becomes digitized, compressed and converted to packets and then transmitted over the internet.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection. This form of voice communication is distinct from legacy analog voice communications where voice traffic travels over the PSTN network where a dedicated connection is established for the duration of the call.

CyberSprockets HardDrive Shop is pleased to offer the least expensive VoIP solution currently available. We have been using Via Talk since early this year and have been pleased by the service and reliability. The list of features rivals any VoIP offering and is completely configuarable by the user. Our current special is 2 Lines for the price of 1. Especially useful for the Small Office / Home Office user (or households with multi-users); 2-Line capability allows user to make or take an additional call even if the line is in use. This is similar to the "Call Roll Over" feature that most telcos charge extra for. The second port on your adapter could also be program with an additional number to be used by fax machines or another entirely seperate number with a custom ring tone allowing you to identify which type of call you are receiving.
